Trekking in Nepal can be done throughout the year but depending upon the destination, climate/weather and trail, there are suitable seasons from March to May in spring and October to December in autumn, which are the best seasons for walking holidays. During these seasons, the trekking trails are crowded by the trekkers, guides and porter and there may be the problem on finding the accommodation on the trekking trail. Even during the monsoon season (June- August), you can trek in the rain- shadow areas north of the Himalaya like Mustang, Upper Manang and Dolpo. The monsoon is a good time to visit Kathmandu, but there are few trekkers among those who come. A monsoon trek is possible if you are willing to put up with the rain, leeches, slippery trails and lousy mountain views. Flights operate throughout the monsoon to Lukla, Jumla and Jomsom, so it is possible to fly in and trek above the leech line. If you read any blog, trekking guidebook or talk to any trekking agencies in Nepal, they may not prefer you for the monsoon trek. If you have any query about the monsoon trekking in Nepal or if you are confused whether it is possible to trek to the Himalayas during the monsoon or not, then we say Yes!!! trekking during the monsoon is possible in Nepal. If you do not have flexibility on your travel dates then you can trek to Nepal during the autumn season (September to December) or spring season (March to May). But if you do not have time or you are will be busy on September to December and willing to do trekking in Nepal during the June to September, then We Nepal Travel Door organize your trekking holidays to the Himalayas which are less affected by the rains. While talking about the trekking in monsoon, there are some drawbacks on the weather, trekking routes, trekking guides and porters. There are often rainfall during the monsoon and the trekking path is slipery and high risk of landslide and soil erosion.
