Japanese Climber Nobukazu Kuriki - The First Climber on Everest After the Quake

Climbing to the world's highest peak Mount Everest is the every climber's ultimate dream. Mount Everest climbing had been abrupted after the devastating earthquake occurred on 25 April 2015. On the dangerous avalanche triggered by the earthquake killed at least 19 mountaineers and there was a great loss in the tourism of Nepal at the mid popular spring climbing season.

Today Nepal has opened Mount Everest to climbers for the first time since earthquake damaged and triggered avalanche in April. Japanese climber Nobukazu Kuriki will be the first to climb the world's highest Himalayan peak since April earthquake. Tourism Minister, Kripasur Sherpa gave Kuriki his climbing permit at a reopening ceremony in Kathmandu today.

Climbing to the Himalayan peak is the difficult during the autumn season but Kuriki will leave Kathmandu Tuesday by helicopter and reach the summit in mid-September. "The main purpose of my climb to Mount Everest is to spread the message in world that Nepal is still safe for trekking and climbing even after the earthquake," Kuriki told to reporters.

Kuriki had attempted four times before to reach the top of the world but his attempt was not successful. It will be Kuriki's fifth attempt to Mount Everest and We hope he will be success to reach the summit.
