Naag Panchami is the festival of snakes celebrated in Nepal and also in India on the fifth day after no-moon day. During the festival, the devotees worship the king of snakes the Naag on the month of shrawan (shrawan Shukla Panchami) and the day is called Nag panchami in Nepali. The Hindu people throughtout the country are observing the Naag Festival traditionally by offering the tika, phul and prasad to the Nag or the serpent. The festival is celebrated by the Hindus and festival is being observed today 19 August 2015 (à¤ाद्र ०२ २०à¥à¥¨).
