All the Heritage Sites Around Kathmandu Valley Will Reopen Tomorrow

The heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley will reopen for the general public from Monday, the department of Archeology informed. After the massive earthquake of April 25 2015, the world heritage sites including the palaces, temples, stupas were prohibited for the tourists and public to enter as they got fully or partially damaged. The cultural heritage of the kathmandu Valley has significant role in the tourism development of the nation as they are included in the world heritege sites by UNESCO. The seven protected monuments including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and the hindu temples Pashupatinath and Changunarayan will be officially reopened by tommorrow.Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar square wer reopened on june 11 for the general public after the bebris management.

The UNESCO Heritage Sites around the Kathmandu Valley are the main attractions for the Nepal Tourism and massive earthquake that hit Nepal at the mid of the Spring Season has a great loss in Tourism as the Travel and Trekking agecies says. Reopening the heritage sites for public and tourists will be a plus point to the tourism in the comming September-November Autumn season as it is the peak touristic season for the tourism of Nepal. Travel and Trekking agencies are praying for the tourist to come to visit Nepal after the Earthquake to rebuild nation through tourism. By the september all the trekking routes, hotels and tea houses will be ready for trekking or tours to Nepal.

Suresh Suras Shrestha, Under Secretary of the DOA (The Department of Tourism), said tourists will be given guided sightseeing tours around the heritage sites with the guide for their safety and tourists are prohibited from roaming around the heritage sites in person. The tour should be operated in group along with the local guide to provide the information about the monuments.
